Red Beans and Brown Rice

2 cups Kidney Beans, Red, Canned

1 large Onion
, , about Green Pepper
3 cups, 121 grams Tomatoes, diced
1 quarts, 2 cups Brown Rice
1 teaspoons Garlic Powder

Steps

1 Cook rice according to package directions.
2 Peel and chop onion.
3 Cut green pepper in half then remove seeds and chop up pepper.
4 Spray skillet with non-stick cooking spray.
5 Place onion and pepper in skillet and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until tender.
6 Add garlic powder, tomatoes and kidney beans and bring mixture to a boil.
7 Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
8 Serve over rice.
