Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

Amount Ingredient
1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
1 cups, chopped White Onion, diced
1 tablespoon Ginger, peeled and grated
0.25 tsp Sea Salt, Fine
, ground Pepper
2 clove Garlic clove, minced
1 quarts Lean Ground Turkey
1/8 cups Tamari
2 head (5" dia) Butterhead Lettuce, peeled apart into leaves
3 stalk Green Onions, chopped
1 cups or slice Carrots, cut into matchsticks
1/4 cups Peanuts, raw, crushed
1 fruit (2" dia) Lime

Steps

1 Heat coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2 Add in the onions, ginger, sea salt and pepper and saute for about 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent.
3 Add in the garlic and saute for another minute.
4 Add in the ground turkey and break it up as it cooks.
5 Once it is cooked through and browned, add in the tamari. Continue to saute until it is absorbed. Remove from heat.
6 Spoon the turkey mixture into the center of a lettuce leaf and top with green onion, carrots and peanuts.
7 Squeeze a lime wedge over top, wrap and enjoy!

No Ground Turkey? Use any type of ground meat.
Vegan and Vegetarian - Use lentils instead of ground meat.
Nut-Free - Garnish with sesame seeds instead of peanuts.
Likes it Spicy? Add hot sauce or chili flakes.
